| Maetang Tribal Children's Home
Founded in 1984 by Rev. Samuel Yangmi, Maetang Tribal Children's Home is a tribal youth hostel in Chiangmai Province, Thailand. Because tribal villages are located high in the northern mountains, it is often difficult for tribal children to attend Thai schools and obtain a quality education. However, because MTCH is located in the valley and near a quality Thai elementary and high school, tribal youth now have the opportunity to go to school. Assisted with contribution from sponsors through Nazarene Compassionate Ministries, and with some support coming from their parents, many of these tribal youth are now graduating from high school and becoming educated leaders of our growing tribal churches in Thailand. In addition, these youth become the open doors to establishing churches in new tribal villages. It is a great combination of compassion, education and evangelism at work in the Church.
